Zoo Mania!

I had to take Abigail to her annual cardiology appointment at Primary Children's (her heart is doing great) this morning, so I ended the day with the zoo with Abs, Whitney and Belle. Abigail is such a hoot. Here is a couple of things that she shouted (she does not talk, she shouts...always!)
-"Hey birds, fly over my head!"
-"Giraffe, I'm talking to you!" That is what she is saying in the picture of her alone
-"Ostrich, my name is Abby!"
Whitney is always the big girl and my extra set of hands, so outings usually are pretty fun with the girls. It was fun to see Belle laughing and finding interest in the animals. Abs just told the animals what to do. I had to continuously remind her that she was not allowed to pet the animals...

This is the Place!

My little bro has been working at the "This is the Place" park this summer and got us in for free last week! The girls had a blast riding horses, petting goats and sheep (we had to convince Abigail that the goats were not dogs), panning for gold, and trying to walk on stilts. It was so much fun, hot, but fun. I think Abigail's favorite thing was just watching the birds flying around...whatever!

Princess Belle

It was Belle's 4th birthday a couple of weeks ago. She loves the movie "Princess and the Frog", so I put the Barbie in the middle of the cake so she could have it to play with later. I made some silly frog cupcakes to feed the family crowd. I didn't notice the horrible picture of her until just today...oh well! Here are some facts about our little Belle:
-she loves to ask questions
-she is completely a princess
-she and Whitney are best buddies
-most people ask me when she's turning 3
-she can count to 30, knows all her alphabet and has extremely good handwriting
-knows the importance of "dollars"
-gets lost when I send her downstairs for something
-has a tiny, but very clear voice
-still wears a 5 shoe and Abby is the same size with bigger feet!
We sure love her!

Enjoying Nature

The fam decided to go on a hike in one of the canyons a couple of weeks ago. It was extremely hot, but the girls did great. We only went about 2 or 3 miles, but Abigail walked half way and Belle and Whit walked the whole way. You notice that Steve ended up carrying the two little ones on the way back. I stayed back with Belle and listened to the 300 million important questions she had for me!

Tess' First Birthday

Well, Tess turned one in June. It always takes me a while these days to actually get to the blogging, but here we are. I tried making an ice cream cake (supposedly a turtle?). It was interesting. I cannot believe she is already one. It makes me a little sad because she is our last. Here are some cute things I love about her:
-perfect baby!!!
-her rolls are not overlapping anymore
-she crawls upstairs very quickly, but screams if I teach her how to go down
-says "uh-oh", "hi", and she makes monkey noises
-waves bye
-she hugs any stuffed animal as tight as she can
-she has little dimples like her Daddy
-loves to be with Daddy (she'll learn...;))
-just got her first tooth last week
We love having her in our family. She is a perfect fit...

Fun?

Steve and I took the girls to a small carnival in our area. The pictures show that is was lots of fun and Whit and Belle had some pretty cool face paintings done. The reality is that I waited in line for an hour to get the girls some cotton candy and Steve waited in line for the same amount of time to get their face painted. I think they had fun... I had to take pictures to make the face painting last longer.

Here is a rare shot of Abby smiling. Not that she never smiles, but she doesn't have the patience to smile for the camera. The bottom picture is Tess. She is always happy! Just like my other children, she is still toothless and trying desperately to grow hair:)

Egg Hunting

Here are all the little ones finding Easter Eggs. We went camping out in the desert and it was still really cold, but they love being outside. Abby wore her hat the entire time and it was constantly covering one eye...funny!

Here are my girls being silly. All but Abby loves to get their picture taken. I'm not sure Tess knew what was going on. Anyhow, as you can see, Tess is quite a roly-poly, her legs are even better. She is the funnest little baby. The last picture is Whitney' Leprechaun trap that she made. She cut it and painted it all on her own. I love the fact that she misspelled "take".

Abigail's 2nd Birthday

This is the best picture I could get of her. She refused to pose for the camera. She is quite demanding... Here are some funny things about her:
-she will spend hours playing with baby dolls, just holding them
-her whisper box is broken...really...she is always loud!
-her first sentence was "open it"
-she is my most polite child: she always says thank you, sorry, and please
-she always checks her Care Bears or baby dolls to see of they're "poopy"
-she eats a lot...3 slices of pizza...2 whole hot dogs...1 1/2 sandwiches...on and on
-she knows what she wants and tries to be the boss
-you would never know she has congenital heart disease...always tough
-enjoys giving hugs and kisses
